We were at a team meeting doing some brainstorming. We wanted to understand how to compensate our customers and, on top of that, support those who make a daily effort to make our world a better place.
VORTAL BONUS has been around for a few years. It has always been a program that intended to benefit our closest customers – those who have a higher level of involvement in our core product: our contracting platform.
That afternoon, we concluded that there is no better way to reward than rewarding itself. The path was decided: more than receiving technological, sustainable or useful gifts, our customers would have a new choice. They would be able to donate part of their points (gained in the VORTAL BONUS’ program) to Confiar, a Portuguese Social Solidarity Institution of Public Utility, known by providing help to the families of prisoners and ex-prisoners.
The project was in our hands, but the contribution came from those who are connected to us on a daily basis. Between September and December of 2019, our costumers donated than 1800 points. Converted into euros, they were used to buy 22 textbooks, crayons, pens, armchairs, a carpet, a playhouse, some furniture and a few toys.
The target for this donation? A new psychotherapy room, dedicated to help families, in an environment that should be comfortable and propitious to sharing. It was a small gesture that counted with a lot of help – from our customers, our employees and from those who are committed to help on a daily basis: Confiar.
